Checking for New Posts

With the recent influx of new members, I thought it useful to post this here:

As long as you have enabled "cookies" in your settings, your computer will remember what you have looked at - or more exactly - what has been posted since your last visit.

Then, by clicking on "New Posts" shown in the menu bar above (just right of centre) a list of all new posts since your last visit will be displayed in a tabulated form. This list tends to refresh every 15 minutes though, so if you spend longer than that in a particular thread.... clicking on the "new posts" after that time, will then only show the new posts in those 15 minutes.

For that reason, I tend to quickly view the threads/posts that seem of interest to me, remembering in which forum they are in, before I spend too much time reading or replying to any particular subject. I am then able to go back to the specific areas if I do lose that 15 minute "window".

Hope that helps someone not familiar with how the software works.
