I for one really like looking at these new trees. There is most definately a sense of humor about them that is lacking most anywhere else you care to look in the world of bonsai, but is that a negative? Call me naive --- but in my eye, these trees point to something more than has been generally accepted as good bonsai, not less. And the man who created them -- he's got balls to ask for us to look at his work.

Thailand bonsai

I wana sell all lots what I have because my uncle is too old and I do not have time to look after them. Any one here know how to start? If any bonsai center would liketo have them all I would be delighted because they are so precious as my uncle took his life time making them all. He also wrote a book how to make them. Pls visit http://www.bonsaithai.net and your advice &comments are welcome.

G'day all...

Assuming that Jay's conversion..."...One US dollar equals approx. 32.3 Baht..."...is reasonably accurate, gives reason to think that Mr. Sukirak must be selling some of his bonsai in the range of $2000 to $5000. This would indicate…to me…that there must be some one, or six, in Thailand that places some value on these bonsai.

Out of respect to Mr. Sukirak, and the skills made evident in the photos…I find it somewhat difficult…no, very difficult…to accept a label like “…sense of humor….” Curious? Maybe. Or divergent? Maybe. But not humorous. Just because they are different.

Different.

Then to say that Mr. Sukirak has "...got balls to ask for us to look at his work...". I guess we could say that about Salvador Dali?

My thoughts. My opinions.

Pat

Gday Bsumrongthong.

I have taken the liberty of placing all of your posts into one thread. As it was, you appeared to be randomly posting in threads which had nothing to do with Thai Bonsai. Hopefully, you will soon have something to contribute to the Forum other than thinly veiled advertising for "your uncle's" trees.

Thanks.

FlyBri.

They are Penjing in its crudest form. Remembering that Penjing was the mother of Bonsai.
