The new software release should be in our hands by the end of next week! There are a slew of new features. Here are some of the user improvements:


A. Seller Convenience Features

1. Simpler category selection
2. Suggest new categories
3. Include remotely hosted images in listings
4. Choose highlighted colour for listings
5. Choose auction background for listings
6. Review all item details on listing confirmation page
7. Choose from recently used categories when listing
8. Enter & remember PayPal E-Mail preset.
9. Choose other fields to save for future use, i.e. selling and payment options.
10. Receive notification email when a bid is received
11. Make a "second chance" offer to bidders

B. General Improvements

1. Display other items from same seller in Auction listings
2. User Feedback overview
3. Real-time clock
4. Improved user summary table for bidding & selling
5. End-of-auction checkout
6. buyer can now pay directly after buyout if direct payment is selected
7. Added voucher feature
8. proxy bid on a reserve price item the bid will not meet the reserve (like eBay).
9. New search options
10. Use internal messaging system to ask a seller a question (optional)
11. Show number of users watching any given auction
12. Counters on want ads
13. Recently Listed Want Ads table

C. Store Improvements

1. New Members Area section specifically for stores
2. Improved stores with owner-defined categories
