I used the plastic as an extra protection when the temp was 20 below ( not counting wind chill grrrrr) but the porch stays relatively warm if the temps are around so I'm taking it off when it warms up. I took it off today and they look very happy and content, which makes me happy, I'll take some pics and post them today.
