what plant is this?

Gday Aberael!
Kinda hard to tell from the photo, but the leaves look to me like it might be a Japanese Flowering Quince (Chaenomeles species). The Quinces around these parts are just coming into blossom now, and I don't expect new leaves for another month or so. They can make excellent Bonsai in the right hands. Good luck. Fly. Back again - I had a look out in my garden and realized that your mystery plant could also be Pyracantha species. The one overhanging our side fence has quite large, elongated leaves like the leaves in your photo.
