what kind is it? bought from Home Depot (Big Pix Warning)

I bought this "bonsai" from Home Depot today for $14

Can anyone ID what the name of the tree is? How does it look health wise? Should I keep it? I bought it spur of the moment not knowing what a bonsai was, but just because I thought it looked classy for my room.

Any information and tips would be highly appreciated.

SAGO PALM?

Look at http://www.rhapisgardens.com/sagos/ for a picture...

I vote for Zamia (not a Sago Palm, but it is closely related).

Good luck.

It looks like a cardboard palm to me. Sago have thinner leaves.

Stick it in a cheap pot and glue on rocks.

Never seen one like that, but if you like it, that's what really matters. If it's anything like my sago, they take a lot a abuse and can adapt to many different conditions. You might just have to figure out on your own what this one likes and dislikes by watching it really closely. I would wait till the soil dries to water (so you'll have to break those rocks off the top), and leave it in a very sunny spot in the room.
