Pruning wiring care Green Island Ficus
I recently came across a new Green Island Ficus bonsai. It's doing quite well as an indoor plant and It's growing quite well.
My question regarding wiring: I am worried about possibly breaking the branches as they are fairly stiff, would I be wasting my time if i tried to wire them? Would I be better off trimming the branch back and wiring the shoots that come off of it? Pruning: I want to know when is the best time and where on the tree to prune to have leaf reduction and promote new branch growth. I am looking for any sites with specific green island ficus tree care or as close to as possible. Anyone know of any? Your help for a bonsai noob is appreciated. ![]() |
