please help (Ginseng)
hi everyone newbie to the site here just a quick question for anyone that knows my boyfriend bought me a ginseng bonsai but the leaves are falling off not completely but every morning when i get up there's over a dozen leaves round the tree... there not dead leaves either otherwise i wouldn't be to bothered. arn't ginseng's evergreen so they shouldn't really be losing any leaves...
please help as i don't want my lovely tree to die thanks |

You have a ficus, not a ginseng. Ficus with bulbous roots are often called "ginseng" ficus, because they resemble ginseng roots.
Ficus species often lose leaves as a result of environment change. The tree is adjusting to its new location--It's probably not at death's door. although indoors in the summer isn't really where a ficus tree should be. It should be outside in the sun... |
