I obtained a beautiful 10 year or so old Boxwood bonsai and I noticed that it has a really nasty almost cat urine smell to it. Is this normal?
Please advise, Brit. |

Hi Brit,
Welcome to bonsai TALK. put simply, box stinks. The cat urine smell is the reason I have no box in my collection. Regards, TB

I knew my sense of smell was bad! I've never noticed that boxwood's had a smell at all. And I have several different varieties.
