Question Offensive Boxwood Smell??

I obtained a beautiful 10 year or so old Boxwood bonsai and I noticed that it has a really nasty almost cat urine smell to it. Is this normal?

Please advise,
Brit.

Hi Brit,

Welcome to bonsai TALK.

put simply, box stinks. The cat urine smell is the reason I have no box in my collection.

Regards,

TB

I knew my sense of smell was bad! I've never noticed that boxwood's had a smell at all. And I have several different varieties.
