Bonsai noob here, sorry...
I have always been interested in bonsai, and had one my wife bought for me but it died...so i'd like to start one, myself. I would like to know a good place to get supplies and which trees are better, should i start from a seed, or get one already started. My mom bought me a kit, but all it comes with is a book, a pot, and shears.

Find a club or two around you and visit. Ask what is easy and hardy in your area. In a couple of months start going to nurseries .... someone at the clubs will tell you how to shop for a tree (trunk movement, nebari, branches, etc.) Don't get in a hurry(like me!). Search the bonsai forums high and low for information.
Have fun!!! Vic |
