I'm new to bonsai and have got a ponytail palm and a kind I dunno the name of. I need to know how much water, fertilzer to give them and for the palm how long the leaves should be before I trim them. With the unknown kind if I should cut dead branches off and if so how. And how strong of sunlight should they be given? They're indoor bonsai.

Pictures of the unknown will help, as there are a lot of differences in what care plants require. There's no real way to give good advice without some idea what it is.

Found this on the web about the ponytail palm.

"Considered extremely hardy, the Ponytail Palm enjoys lots of sunlight. The foliage is a nice green and the blooms are white or ivory, appearing in midsummer. Because of this tree’s ability to store water in the trunk, it is very drought tolerate. Typically, allow the soil to dry out in between water and if you begin to notice any yellow on the foliage, aloe several days to pass before watering again. Choose good quality soil with a neutral pH level of 6.6 to 7.5."

Hope it helps a bit.
