Good stuff Matt. Hopefully a lot of people will read it, even if it is just to review the basics.

Thanks

My wife bought me my first bonsai Tree two weeks ago, it's a Deshojo maple. she got it from a market stall, the stall holder is a fulltime bonsai dealer he said it was ok to keep the tree indoors... luckily i have learned early enough that without the right care such trees are better off outdoors. I don't know how old the tree is, but i have the e-mail addy for the dealer my wife bought me my tree from. Hopefully he can shed some light on the history of my maple, as it looks real nice. Thanks all.

Firstree, make sure you post a thread in show and tell so we can take a look at your new tree. Sometimes people can tell you something about your tree that you never knew or a way to style the tree that will bring out more of its natural beauty

hi Matt, how about a couple more for this list, 1. small bonsai become big bonsai. 2. bad bonsai become good bonsai with time alone. cheers for your efforts at BT, andrew
