Time

hi ya

maybe its me - but i think my time is wrong. I see the GMT and i chose my area, being adelaide +9.5 hours which is correct but my time is out by an hour. it may have something to do with day light savings time. We are currently not in daylight savings time. the real time here is 3.54pm but my clock here reades 4.54pm. Maybe i did something wrong....

I love the new set up - heaps of great easy to work features, very well done...still looking about

cheers

I think it should be correct now. The funny thing is we are on daylight time now in the US. I have to enter an offset, which to be correct means that west coast users will need to select Mountain Standard time instead of Pacific Daylight, which is not an option.

Hopefully the server won't be changing back and forth with daylight time, or I will be really confused. In any case, I set the board to Greenwich mean, and you dial in an offset on your personal control panel. If it's wrong, maybe just fudge it as necessary.

P.S. - Why are you 9.5 hours off? I thought daylight time was weird.

Regards,

Matt

No, you were right, so I fixed it, Blondie.

The chat isn't set up quite yet but it's the next hot project on the list. I would say 2 days away from some kind of operation. The tough part is getting the chat status display operating.

Regards,

Matt

when we get daylight savings we get an hour so we are always a half an hour out. australia is in 3 time zones that are 30 mins apart. stange but its the way it is!! thanks for fixing it, there isnt anything in the 8.5 hours zone so i couldnt fudge it!

cheers

time zones

actually katrina, australia is split over 2 hours

eastern states are half an hour ahead and western state is one and a half hours behind. when we get daylight savings, not all the states are on day light savings time (queensland) so brisbane ends up being half an hour behind while sydney is half an hour ahead (they are about level on the coast), one state is right above the other) and it gets all very confusing when trying to do buisness with other states!!!

I guess thats why we drink so much beer and have so many mobile phones....
