Once again the Osterich syndrom buries it's head. I would haved liked have said raises it's head but that would be ridiculous considering the context.

Does it matter what I want or care? I just looked at the links at the top of the page, there is no link for Forum Feed back, at least one that is posted out in the open where it is easily found and accessed.

So actually you want to burry it, nez pas?

the forum feedback section isn't located at the top, scroll down to the bottom of the forums page....there it is! i for one haven't seen much bad come of the moderator group, in fact, it doesn't seem to be any different than it was. once and a while people get testy and vent, someone has to be in charge of saying when enough is enough, or when something has strayed too far off topic. of all the moderators currently serving here, i see no powertrips, and when there was an issue (recently with one self-deemed angel of sorts) matt took care of it. this thread may have been started with good intentions, i too am a pretty mouthy, opinionated person sometimes, but when discussion turns to bickering, i agree with what was done.

If you click on "forum" and then scroll down, you will find "forum feedback" almost at the bottom of the page. Looking at the forum like a book, you would use the "forum" page as the content page, and each individual section is a chapter.

Forum feedback is hidden deep within the dark nether-regions of bonsaiTALK's darkest jungle.

Right here.

And I just put this thread there, but you can always see what's new by hitting the "new posts" button at the top of every single page.

Hi Everyone,

I can't really see what the problem is here. If you don't like the topic, don't read it. There is plenty on BT to interest all of us. If two (or more?) members get to griping at each other you will either love it or hate it - so either stay tuned or switch off.
Speaking personally I don't like a lot of moderation. Free speech is my belief. It's rather like saying that, as a Brit, I shouldn't take an interest in matters American, or Dutch, German, Australian and all the other countries that have BT members.
The posts about New Orleans moved me nearly to tears as I realised that some of you had friends there and did not know if they were safe.
The discussion about religion after the bombings was deeply absorbing.
Of course, most of the posts about bonsai enthrall.
So, one or two members argue. So what? Don't like it? Don't read it.

A very happy New Year to all of you. I've loved my first year with BT thanks to you.

First of all in the post that prompted this string no one was arguing, being nasty, or getting mad. It was a simple exchange of differences of opinion. But someone took it on themselves to determine that there was no resolution to the issue and decided to end the discussion. This also happened in the now infamous post concerning the validity of a hoof print as a bonsai pot. I think the moderator thing has gotten out of control.

Not only does it discourage logical and intelligent differences of opinion, it also tends to come down on the side of the ludicrous and inane. The worst problem is when one moderator cannot seem to make some sort of logical inroads on the issue they gang up on you like some sort of tag team and support their colleague, right or wrong. In this string I have had Pootsie, Joannie, and Ian try to convince me that I am wrong. There have been a couple of attempts at hijacking the thread, Happy Birthday Ron, and I am still holding on to my point of view, and now it has been buried in the deep dark recesses of the site where few dare to tread. I am not wrong in this you need to change it or lose it.
