I did not say I was going to do that, I said it was a good idea. But when the subject is brought up by someone else in this thread I will address it where I find it. Actually this is good that this gets discussed any place it is relevant and it is relevant as far as this thread is concerned understanding that some critical information pertaining to this thread was lost to an in depth discussion about it in the chat room. Refer to posts #4,5,and 6 of this thread. I did not bring this up. However the flavor of the input at that point was because it was discussed in the chat room all that needed to be said was said. Good as the chat room is for exchange when it comes to information that makes a difference or is generally notable it belongs here in the forum where it can be archived, discussed and even challenged.

I know what the individual and myself discussed. The out come of that discussion. And I also know that I sent him two articles that had previously written that I though might be of help to him. One on air layering and one on styling. Neither answered the question he asked on the forum. You got to get over it Vance. You are not due an explination everytime that I say something in chat. Believe it or not but not all my words are worthy of being archived. I am just not that important an individual. |

I can only speak for the time or times I have been in the chat room. I cannot speak for or about you or the time that spawned this exchange---thats the problem--- there is no evidence either way as to what anybody said to whom about what and why. As to getting over it?.?.? There is nothing to get over. However you also have to understand that this is not about you, or was it ever about you. I have trouble understanding why you would think that it was?

Need I remind everyone of the "Rules of Chat"?
And I broke that rule...... Done with the best of intentions to show that issues can be worked out, but broke the rules.. Irene (Mom)

Rules schmules, it doesn't make a difference here. I don't know what rule or rules you supposedly violated. All I know is that you have been trying to make a difference---and that's what I am trying to do. Ron's partially right, it's not a big deal but in the broader scheme of things it is a big deal in that something significant gets shared then lost. That's akin to finding a way to make an automobile run on tap water and then lose the formula. I am trying not to be overly critical of the chat room, not any more so than those who say the newbies get hammered in the public forum. But one truth remains unresolved; there are things that should be put in the public forum, especially if they are going to be referenced there. Those are the things that go beyond friendly and maybe idle conversation and accelerate into things of importance. These are things important to someone who may not visit the chat room regularly or not be there when the discussion takes place. When something is posted here it has a shelf life that goes on as long as the band width does not run out and is accessible through a search function.

I really don't think that is is the fault of the members in chat. All are, and always were, welcome to go there. When one decides not to go to the chat room then guess what. They are not due to what is shared there. The chat room is exactly as the name suggests A place to chat. In real time. Why are you so intent on destroying that tool that all can use. If you want to know what is going on in there then get off your butt and go there. You are welcome to attend. Quit complaining and join the fun. |

Wow----did you let your assumptions run wild. I am not blaming the chat room or anyone in the chat room, in fact I went out of my way to make that point. Then you accuse me of wanting to destroy the chat room? Wow again, nowhere have I said that, suggested that, implied that, wished that, thought that, or even written on an out-house wall words to that affect. Also I am not complaining I am pointing out a fault with the system, the reasons for this are plain, enumerated in more than one location and irrefutable in their logic. From this point on you seem to want to be insulting. Does that mean you have run out of anything substantive to offer to the debate?
