Picture posting query, Matt?

I wasn't quite sure where to ask this., so please Matt, move wherever you feel it should go, or delete.
I have noticed several times lately when posting more than one pic, like 3 or 6 on a post that very often they appear out of order, or, later on after a day or so they are out of order. I've even tried re-posting them and they still come up screwy sometimes on the second try.. Is this a problem I am causing or is this a glitch in the beast.
Anyone else notice this?
Dale

I don't think it is possible for the photos to change order from day to day. Posts like Stonemonkey's depend on the order remaining consistent over time.

The photos are shown in the order of assignment. Each one gets a numeric ID, and they are displayed in that order. Even if you were to add more images later the one with the lowest order would be displayed first within a post. That wouldn't change.

There are only 3 blanks for uploading and a maximum of six images per post, I think. I could increase it to six blanks but I didn't really want to scare anyone with all those blanks and it can take a bit of time to upload six photos simultaneously - if you are on dialup it could take almost half a minute per photo.

Now if you are talking about the homepage display of recent photos in the upper corner of http://www.bonsaiTALK.com, that is an entirely different story. That shows the most recently attached photo in each post, not the first.

Regards,

Matt

I noticed it yesterday with 3 grape photos I posted in John Quins thread, first and last swapped after posting. And, in my BIG BEN thread I had them flipping all over

I've uploaded six several times on dialup, not too bad.
