bonsaiTALK Reviews of Products and Services

Thanks to the generous contributions of the membership, I am happy to announce that we have purchased and installed a new "reviews" system at bonsaiTALK to enable members to write and to read reviews of books, tools, magazines and possibly even some interesting things like clubs and teachers.

I anticipate it will take us up to a month to work out the "bugs" with the new system. However, you are welcome to browse or review your favorite bonsai book or magazine. If you are in a category and want to suggest an item, there is a link for that. Although it isn't highlighted for some reason.

The review system is at

http://reviews.bonsaitalk.com

The reviews system uses the same password and username as your bonsaiTALK account.

DISCLAIMER: Where it is possible to purchase an item online, we often have a link to facilitate a purchase on the relevant reviews pages. If a merchant has an affiliate link, we will try to take advantage of that as well.

Feel free to post reviews there and comments here, and we'll see how it all works out! Remember: To a large extent, the success of the reviews program will depend on the participation, so get out there and write a review!

Suggestions are very important, too!

Regards,

Matt

P.S. - Please keep those contributions coming!

Hey Matt, great fan of what you do. Don't go anywhere else on the net for bonsai info.

Just checking, for your sake, that you had considered, given the considerable influence this site has on the bonsai community, whether the review of teachers, could lead to a defamation action.

order

p.s How do you put up with the crap that goes on in here? There should be a compulsory -who cares- option on polls.......

Some months ago, the bonsaiTALK Galleries were hacked, and this looks to be a remnant of the hack. My guess is that it is such an infrequently visited part of the site that TreeBay was unaware that it had been tampered with.

Thanks for pointing it out, and the appropriate action will be taken ASAP.

Gday Pat!

What's also hacked? So far as I can tell, it's only the bonsaiTALK Reviews page which is still hacked. If you have further information, please do tell.

Thanks.
