Am I Banned?

I don't know where to go with this, but I've been unable to login with BonsaiTalk since it has reopened. Apparently I am using the wrong password with my original ID (FredL), but when I try to use the reset password email from this site, I get a message saying the email is idle and no response to my request. I am using my son's computer to send this plea for help in the hope that either I can get FredL taken off the system and start all over or can get the password problem fixed.

I for one sure hope Matt can get this all sorted soon...I have been missing your comments...I am betting on Matt, and looking forward to your return as FredL...

Dear FredL

No, you haven't been banned, but thanks for letting us know. Email works fine, too, but we can discuss the problem here so long as you're able to communicate using the forum.

Try checking out this thread. Chances are you have a simple cookie problem. Since you can log in and post using your son's computer, that is almost a guarantee. By the way, you can probably log in and post there with your old address.

OK, thanks for the help, even though it hasn't helped.

At least yet!

I deleted my cookies (whatever that means), but the problem continues. When I attempted to log in as FREDL, my password was again rejected.

Then, perhaps, you have already initiated the process to reset your password and responded to the confirmation email?

You should PM or email me with a password change request. Your username together with the desired password. Unfortunately, I can't recover lost passwords, only change them.

Regards,

Matt, thank you very much for your help. Everything seems to be working properly now.

There are times (such as right at this moment) that I am struck by the remarkable things that are done for us for free and without our even asking through the goodness of others. I don't really know what moved you to create and maintain this remarkable site, but I missed it while I couldn't get in. Helped me appreciate it, I guess. Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate it and you for the contribution you make to my happiness.

Welcome back Fred, you have a lot of catching up to do. I suggest you start with the soil conspirecy and regenerate that thread. That has been much fun.

Regards, Al
