Off Topic: Lunar eclipse ongoing now!

Hello everyone,

Way off topic, but if you have happen to have clear skies in your area, go outside and take a look at the moon. Total lunar eclipse ongoing....and it's quite a sight.

Best regards,
Carl

Yeah, it was cool. My kids found it quite fascinating. I think this is supposed to be the last one for three years, right?

Here you go, Anita. Sorry about the blur - I couldn't find my remote shutter release.
(2" at F5.6 if anyone cares).

Will, I'm glad you got to share it with your daughter. My daughter and I watched it together too. We had a picnic dinner and watched it fade to that deep orange glow.

Best regards,
Carl

Thanks, everyone! I hated missing the eclipse last night. I went out about 9:30 in the rain, yup, no moon.

The moon came thru the clouds about 1:30am....nice & pretty, but the eclipse was over. Maybe next time.

And, thanks for the settings, Carl! I have yet to master 'Moon pics'. I'm copying that down & will try it....(I do have a remote...just have to remember where I put it.) What size lens do you use? For those "bonsai with moon" cut & pastes, of course.
