Trunk Chop On Ficus
Hey everybody I need some advice,
Got a ficus in the yard thats been enjoying life as a pot plant for 7 or so years. I've recently gotten into bonsai and noticed potential in the tree because of it's great nebari and taper. I do however know how to perform the trunk chop procedure. What I need to know is 1) When to do it (I live in Sydney Australia - it's almost winter here); and 2) How to look after the ficus once the procedure has been performed; and (possibly) 3) How to explain to my parents why I at 21 yrs of age massacred their tree ... just kiddingThanks in advance Ron
