Thread Grafted Hornbeam Collected
I've been training this tree in the ground for little over a year. Last spring I used 3 suckers to do thread grafts. They all seem to have made it. I went ahead and collected it a few weeks ago. Here's a couple shots of it. I didn't get a pic of the front. So you can't really see the trunk movement. I'll post the front when the buds open.

Thanks. I plan on carving the chop area around the same time I cut the back of the graft off. I'll have to be careful though. There's a bud popping at that spot. Hopefully it will help the chop scare heal.
