Pots
I have some unglazed shallow catus pots, and I would like to use them for my maple and my elm. Is there anything I can use to glaze the pots or to help it retain moistier? Also what can I use to clean a pot after it was used for a preveise tree?

To clen the pots some warm water with a little disinfectant would do the job. As for 'glazing' them, the only thing i can think of is painting the outside with a few coats of PVA glue. It starts white but will dry clear. You could also add a hint of colour to the glue in the form of some food colouring etc, which would come through when it drys.

I see you are from zone 5, where the winters get cold. Save those pots for tropical trees, they will crack and flake over the winters. Pots for bonsai have been high fired to withstand the outdoor winter conditions.
