Larch Help
Last sunday I trimmed and repotted my Larch. It had a few buds that burst and also some buds. I went to repot it and trimmed the roots back. Today I noticed that the buds that are open are wilting. Is this because I may have cut the roots back to much or repotted after bud burst? It is in sun at least 6 hours a day. I don't want to loose this tree.
Thank You for any help you can offer. |

You've done well if you've killed it - they are the cockroach of trees... Last week I collected 10 Larix Decidua from the wild. They are just so hardy you can just pull them out of the ground (here in Holland the ground is very sandy). I root "chopped" all of them and heavily branch pruned and planted them in the garden again to thicken up. They are all looking good. I've been collecting them this way for over twenty years.
Right now, my for you: Less sun. More humidity. Don't overwater. Feed moderately - I don't believe that NOT feeding after root pruning helps. Jerry Amsterdam
