speaking of air layering, i am progressivly taking different branches off this ficus , i was wondering if it would be possible to reduce the tree down to the blue marks so i have the mother of all trunks (it has about a 5" diameter ) or would it kill the tree , it's currently about 8 feet tall in a huge pot and my guess is it would be 15-20 years old.
thanks
