How 2 reduce leaf size on Jades?
Does anybody know how to reduce the leaf size of Jade trees (Crassula Ovata)? I have six specimens that I'm growing for bonsai but the leaves keep growing too... 2.5 inches long and almost .5 inches thick on 8-inch tall trees.

The best way is lots and lots and lots of direct sunlight.

That would explain a lot. I have them in shade cuz I have no more safe room outside. The wind keep tipping them off cuz their leaves are so overgrown. Thanks a lot.

You can anchor the pot down to something. (wire it down to a piece of plywood maybe?) They want full sun, they are desert trees! If they get a lot of sun their leaf edges turn reddish. And they bloom.....

I have more trees in terracotta pots than anything else (thats trees in training by the way) than I do bonsai right now. If they are in training, the wind should be no match for terracotta.
