Hard to tell, but it looks like it is either stainless steel or plated copper. If it is only galvanized tin, it's not worth the price.
Most people don't have the inclination to buy this kind of quality when they can get a throwaway can in plastic for $15-20, or use a more convenient hose end sprayer, so the limited volume drives up the price. Regards, Matt

This watering can is priced that way not because of availability or demand, but because it was designed especially for watering bonsai. It's probably copper, but could be stainless steel. The length of its spout and size of its roses makes it the perfect lifelong investment in a watering can.

I have a two liter bottle with dozens of pin holes in the top, you could say I'm in the market, for a new one. Still, it works well.

I use a 1 Gal Chapman sprayer with the nozzle taken off so it is a gentle medium trickle, works great, enough water vs damaging, and the nozzle is nice if I need a quick spray of cuttings or something.

I use a hose end sprayer as I find it to be easier when watering. I never have to refill it, I can adjust from a gentle shower to a fine mist with a simple click, it locks to give my hand a break and it's easy to find, that is if you can follow a hose.
However, in the winter I just take my few tropicals to the sink and use the sprayer there. |
