I bought a Silky Pocketboy about 3 years ago. Works like a dream - unless you're trying to get into a tight spot, where the width of the blade risks damaging nearby branches and trunks. It has withstood a good bit of abuse, including being left in the rain occasionally...

Good luck.

Saw

Hi
I have a drywall saw that works like a charm. But after sawing the limb off I trim the stump with a knife and or concave cutter. Like my dad always said there's more ways than one to skin a cat.
Good growing

I would go the knob cutter route like John suggested, but I would for sure have one of these in my tool box.

You can go here: http://www.stonelantern.com/bonsaisaws.html or here

http://www.weetree.com/index.php?cPath=21_52

to get one pretty cheap.

Cheers,

Brian

I use the Japanese kind that cuts on the pull. Graydon posted a couple of nice "western" saws, I guess you can't go wrong with Swedish steel
