Tool Manufacturers

Hi..
I would like to start selling bonsai tools, pots and trees here in Finland, but I have no idea where to buy them.

I've alreday asked a person, but he didn't say where he gets all his stuff, just that he's the only one who is allowed to import it.. He offered to sell me whatever I needed but everything he has is SO expensive. If i'd buy from him I'd have to sell the stuff even more expensive and then people would continue ordering from other countries.

So.. where can I find those mass-producers?

You can check the prices HERE It seems that they are an importer and their prices are pretty darn good. I would assume that shipping is pretty expensive, but it may be worth it if you are getting enough stuff.

Hope this helps

If you contact companies directly thats probably your best bet, this guy sounds like he wants a bit of a monoply on the bonsai tool industry in finland, so id google for companies like Joshua Roth.

Cheers

Not necessarily true.
But then that is life in the business world. The only way to do it is to get tools fairly cheap and import them in large quantities. Allow for a reasonable mark up. Then beat out the competition. This is true for any import. The last guy standing is the winner.
Problem is that most people don't have the capitol to do this. Doing things like this on a small scale is not cost effective.

When you go to Google don't forget to look up things like shipping and duty charges. Not to mention losses and breakage in transit. After that factor in storage and some sort of retail area. The list goes on and on .
Shall I continue.;o)

Ouch.. then i can't afford the gorgeous ficus. =/..
i'll just have to wait a couple of years (how about 20?)
and maybe then my economy is good enough to start a bonsaishop, in a land which hasn't even got it's own bonsai society

Maybe you could start a bonsai club and start small by selling to members of that club and see how that goes?
