Suseki Stones
Tiapan:
You have some wonderful stones. The red one is particulary good with a great patina. I also like the first one you posted which I think is limestone. I would advise making diaza to display these. Bonsaial1 has posted a great diaza making article that explains the process here is the thread http://www.bonsaitalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4799. There is also step by step instructions easily found written and illistrated by Sean Smith. You can also display them in a susiban with sand. If you need more infromation you can simply search for susikei in google and you will find many web sites that have a great deal of information and instruction. I also would recommend that you buy a book on suseki. William Benz has written a great one as has Felilix Rivera. Happy stone collecting. When you have quailty material such as you have they should always be called stones. JGS |

Hi jgs bonsai,Thank you so much for the information about my "stones" and the link to help display them a little better. I just find it facinating there are people in the world such as myself that loves stones and I only just discovered the name suiseki so this should be a fun ride!
Now I know a little more about suiseki I will head back out to my rock spot and get some different samples to show you. Happy hunting jgs Tai Daintree Rainforest Australia |
