Re: The shell rock :)
Ok, I see that big rock underneath is sort of shaped like one open shell, like the clam on top might look if it were opened.

I have not seen to many fossil's in igneous rocks. They usaully come from metamorphic rocks os sedimetary rocks?

Re: The shell rock :)
Jajajajaja.... Well, I got you all confused, right? or am I the confused one?
well, don't really know... Matt you have a great imagination and Al you doubt everyting... well, the reall kind of "fosile" is the little rock, I don't know if it can be called a fosile indeed, but it is certainly a methamorphic rock (caliza and some organic material) with the shape of a shell... the rock underneath it is an igneous rock, but it certainly is just a "stand" for the rock I wanted to show you, and the clam idea sounds nice... well, if you want to laugh at me, don't do it loud... at least try not to do that...

Re: The shell rock :)
Well, I think I understand now. The lava is not the matrix. It is being used to display the shell. Cool.

Exactly, it's just a "stand"
