New Stone and Daiza

Here is my latest viewing stone and daiza. I still haven't decided if I will stain or clear coat the daiza. The daiza took about 6 hours to complete and is made of walnut.

Supprised nobody responded and I,m slow too. I think it looks great. Hope you decided to use a dark stain to show off the stone ,I think that would improve the looks. again great stone!!
Regards,

I agree, definately needs a dark finish to bring out the stone. Nice job!

What an interesting stone! The greens on it make it look mossy and old.
I haven't made any daiza for my stones yet. That's a pretty big one in only 6 hours so it's do-able, I guess.

This cave stone (dokutsu ishi) is interesting. Is it sandstone?
I think the daiza could be improved by removing more material between the feet and smoothing the 90 deegree angles.
