New Stone

Hi guys,

Yesterday was a sunny summer day, here in Puerto Varas, thing that happends one in a year. My family and I dicided to have some fishing day, unfortunable the only thing a fished was this stone.

What do you think?

Hi Bonsainut

I was lucky founding it with the half work done. I think mature did the cut for me.

Doing Bonsai in Chile, and of course in southern of my country, is something very dificult. We have very good Yamadori species, like 8 diferent types of Nofhofagus, but to found bonsai materials, pots, shears, akadama, etc. are things that you can not found everywhere. If you are lucky, you can found some but they have a big cost.
That becouse I´ve to do them by my self

Do you have any plans to carve a dai for this stone? If you use a router, this would only take a couple of hours to make. Al has a thread called "Dai hard" which gives a good description on how to carve them.
