Furuya Suiseki

I finally put my furuya suiseki in place, with a scroll from Malaysia, and a stand from an antique store in Rochester, NY. What an ecceletic mix.

Here are some closeup pictures of the front and the back of the suiseki, and here's a diagonal view of the little waterfall between the mountains.

I'm too new at this to own such an exquisite piece! I'm spending mine on bonsai tools, books and material. This is certainly something to aspire to. It is very beautiful! I like the back just as well as the front. Congratulations and enjoy!

Well, I didn't find this suiseki, I just bought it -- doesn't take much experience at all.

Hello everyone,

Here's a somewhat less formal/traditional display. I don't have really have an appropriate alcove in my house, so this is more keeping with the general craftsman design of our interior.

The grass is Carex buchananii.

Comments?

Best regards,
OMC
