bonsaiTALK Hint: Did you know you can double click any bonsai term on this page for its definition?

Furuya-ishi Suiseki

Clearly not a bonsai (if it is, I've taken very poor care of it ), but I'm guessing not that many people here hit the "Hard Rock Cafe" for Suiseki viewing, so I figured I'd post it here. Comments/opinions welcome.

thanks for the replies thus far -- I love the suiseki too. Does anyone know where I might purchase a nice display stand for it? I'm looking for something about 18" high...

yeah, I did post there re: identification. It doesn't seem like too many people frequent that board, though. Thought my chances might be better here.

Moki,
That's really nice. Did you collect it yourself? You might want to send bonsaial1 a private message about a stand for your suiseki. His stands are beautiful. Use the search feature here on the forum for "bonsai stands" or something similar and you should come up with some threads that have pictures of Al's stands.

Did you make the Dai?

unfortunately, I neither collected it, nor made the daiza. I just forked over some yen for it (got it at the Tokyo Green Club a few weeks ago).

Regardless, I fell in love with it when I saw it.
