collected stone

Here is a photo of a stone that came home with me from my last field trip. This stone could use a name, or what does it remind you of.

Re: collected stone

I would make a cut from the upper left to the bottom right, according to the way it sits in the pic. Then I would have a guy I know make a dai for it.

Virtual suiseki

This is great! The first "virtual suiseki" I have seen!

It took me a minute to figure out you were using the lower half of the stone.

Regards,

Matt

Ripps
It looks like a frog to me. Call him Kirmit. That`s the only famous frog that I could think of.

Re: collected stone

When I first saw the stone, I thought it reminded me of a "coqui", the little frog of Puerto Rico, sitting on a rock.

Re: collected stone

If you wanted to be more mysterious and exotic, you could call the stone "le crapeau", which means the toad, in french.....or grenuille, frog in french.....or "toadie", from the wind in the willows, Lots of ideas, huh?I agree, it really does look like a frog....what is the size of the stone?

Re: collected stone

I also think it looks like a frog on a stone. Now all you need is a dai.
