Spring Shohin and Accent Pots

Here are a few pots that came out of the kiln at the weekend. As always there were a few disappointments but there were also some very nice surprises too, sort of like Christmas day really.

I have been playing with more variations on Ash glazes

All constructive critique is welcomed

Glad to see you posting pots again, Andy!

I like 6, 7, 10, 11. The glazes are very exciting, yet non-obtrusive. Can't wait to see more. The crackles are very well employed as well.
Do the holes on number 7 go all the way through for posswible hanging? If so it would be perfect for a Fucsia or Orchid.

Hi Peter

Glad you like the pots. Did you want a smaller Plaque? If so PM me with the dimensions and we will go from there.

Hi Ent

Yes the hole goes all the way through the pot, I suppose you could hang it upsidedown but you would loose the beauty of the ash glaze on the top of the pot and the glaze drips would look odd going in the opposite direction

Regards to you both

Andy

Andy,

The crackles are looking good. Nice combo with your oxide wash. I like the highlights of the pinch pot and the oxide you used on the oval (round).

Cheers,
-Wm
