Some Wild Older Pots, New Digitals

These are some older pots that I finally got around to taking some digitals of.
Most are my trademark 5-sided asymmetrical pots. Slab built. Wild.
Not everyone will like these but I like making them.
First pot, about 6 glazes.

BTW, before you ask....
I don't know what you'd put in them?

I just made them for ME!

Thanks Chameleon, Glad you like them

Yes, I sell pots. In fact, it's a huge part of my business.
Perhaps you've seen my ads in some bonsai magazines? or seen me vending at conventions?
I specialize in pottery and power wood carving tools for bonsai. Although I still sell some bonsai and stock, most of my "for sale" trees are workshop/demo material. I no longer carry any small, cheap bonsai. I leave that to the "mallsai" and eBay-ers now and all the others who start a business 6 months after buying their first tree!.
AAHHH!
note: that was a breath of fresh air! :>)

Thanks Jonny,
Yes, I do lots of contemporary styles. Lots of ideas swirling in my head :>)
but, it's funny how many "contemporary" ideas I come up with then sometime later I'll see something similar in an old magazine or catalog! "Contemporary" is pretty hard to define. There seems no end to variations on round, rectangle and oval! .
BTW, If you want to see contemporary Japanese pots go to the TAKAGI BONSAI MUSEUM ( Tokyo) website and look at the winners over the last 9 years of his pottery competition. Interesting stuff. Note the sizes of them. You don't really notice from pics unless you read dimensions. Most very large.
Dale
