My Columbus bonsai buddy calls these "Bacon pots"
Guess why?
About 11" across.

Aaaand....
To show you that , as my bonsai teacher used to say, "The Magic Doesn't Always Work"....here is a commissioned LARGE bamboo oval about 21" X 17" X 3" that sagged badly in high firing.
About 3+ hours in construction, plus drying and bisque and glazing!!

This will most probably now be a "Dale pot"

I REALLY like this unglazed oval, about 14" long.

If you remember the cream shino glazed oval from earlier...it was finished like this before I glazed it.
