thanks Vic, BTW, you probably know George Heffelfinger from Vancouver BC? If so, ask him about Robin Hoppers place on the island. A FAMOUS potter who is into asian culture heavily.

But you need to know this chick (meaning me) was raised on a daily diet of the importance of loyalty first before anything. [Dad was USMC] I'm sure Hoppers work is wonderful. But she could be the John Naka/Ben Oki/Insert Masters Name Here, of pottery and I'd still want yours. It would be personal if it was yours. And there would always be the sentiment of my mud slingin' biker buddy attached for all the years I own it. So speaking of pots.... In the Big 'UM thread you showed a precious pot. Do you still have that one? And what does the kanji say? LOVED the asthetic flavor of that pot! Yah know for being a dude who said once that when Bonsai threads get into the more subjective and asthetic nature of bonsai, you stop paying too much attention, (and correct me if it wasn't you please) you sure do express a distinct and wildly subtle asthetic yourself. But I digress...Yours, Last edited by Victrinia_Ensor : 17-Dec-2005 at 02:18 PM. |

[QUOTE=Victrinia_Ensor]Well I'll certinally see what I can find out about her just for fun...
Robin Hopper is a man So speaking of pots.... In the Big 'UM thread you showed a precious pot. Do you still have that one? And what does the kanji say? LOVED the asthetic flavor of that pot! The kanji said "bonsai" in a different type script. The other side had a Misago, a type of Japanese Osprey. My teachers garden was "Misago-en" and I was thinking of him when I decorated it. Sorry but it sold at the WBFF05 in Wash.DC I think. Yah know for being a dude who said once that when Bonsai threads get into the more subjective and asthetic nature of bonsai, you stop paying too much attention, (and correct me if it wasn't you please) you sure do express a distinct and wildly subtle asthetic yourself. But I digress...Yea, it was me. I'm not much of a philosophiserererer Dale

Dale:
I always enjoy seeing your pottery. I know the wildthingsbonsai website is not up and running but do you have a catalog with a price list? Jorge

Jorge,
No catalog, sorry. That's next to impossible with each piece being one-of-a-kind. Any questions just email me. Thanks, Dale
