Sleepy sound of DrumS

Dear

In the studio i also made drumpots , yes !
After 2 i got again sleepy
The rivets ...... the taste of clay in your mouth
every time you put a bit of spit on the rivet .....
aaaaahhhhh .......
drumpots make me sleepy , sorry
These are also leather hard , not fired yet.

The first one is the 'sweet ' drumpot .
the soft curves , smooth rivets and
the roundness all over the pot , walls and feet .

Enjoy ------------------------------>

The second pot , is a rather big .
32 cm . and is round .

This pot is also leather hard ,
made from corky clay and painted with black clay.

The rivets are almost flat , i wanted to give
the whole pot a natural look , a bit sturdy.
The rivets are not the important thing .
Kind regards
Morea

Enjoy ------------------------------->

Those are very different, contemporary and ...."Morea-ish" style.
Will look forward to seeing them fired.
What do you mean by "Corky" clay?
Dale

Dear Dale

Corky is the name of the clay.
It is a high firing Westerwald clay.
Westerwald is THE clay production area in Germany.
I buy my clay at the same place as Horst .
Fuchs the company is called .
Kind regards
Morea

Oh, I LIKE that clay!!
It appears to have something mixed in....cork? perhaps. Looks burned away in last photo?
Hmmmm, If I get over to Holland, I wonder how much I could carry home on plane?

Hi Morea

So you made them, very nice.
I have used Westerwald clay too, the shop that I buy my clay from in the UK also sells it. The pot that I sent to you was made out of it. Have you received it yet

I will look forward to seeing the pot when it is fired, you will have to make some for when we do the EBA together I can't wait, my first big european show WOW!!! I am making pots like crazy, hence no posts at the moment.

You should have some Port and Stilton in your back pack....

Kindest regards and tot gauw Dear Morea

Andy
