Slab

Does anyone know where I can buy a slab for forest plantings? I have looked everywhere but can't seem to come across one that someone is willing to sell. I thought my best bet would be a convention but to my luck, no one had one for sell. Is there a secret underground world of slab dealers I don't know about? Thanks.

Gilbert

Gilbert,
Have you tried Brussels? They used to carry them, but when I went to their website, I didn't see them listed there. They have a toll free number, maybe you can give them a call.

Gilbert,

There are quite a few rock/stone yards in san antonio which have flagstone of different types of rock...different sizes colors, etc.

you might have to do a little "chipping" carving to get exactly what you want

c.c. probably has a stone yard or two also

You don't see them sold often just because they are so easy/cheap to make. If you do a search on slab making, I am sure you will find some kind of online tutorial.

BTW, do you mean a cement slab? I believe that is what you are asking about.

Somehow, I don't think he meant cement slabs.

Thanks for the info guys. I was talking about natural rock slabs and handmade slabs. I'm more interested in handmade slabs but now that I'm thinking about it, a slab of Carolina Honey ribs sounds great right now.

I plan to make a trip to my dad's ranch in the Texas Hill Country this summer to do some tree and rock collecting. Hopefully I'll find something.
