pot id help

Hello. I recently purchased this as a used pot at my local nursery. The "used" pots have dirt all over with drainage mesh and clips still in etc. Once I cleaned it up it looked good and I found this chop. I don't know much about this stuff so any id help or something regarding the quality of the pot would really help.

thanks

Me either, but it is certainl a nice pot. Now, about things I do know about, what are the dimensions, and do you mind, how much did you have to give for this fine "used" pot?

jfecme,

The demensions are about 12x9x2 inches. After cleaning, it was like new. I will tell you how much I paid, but first you (or someone else) must tell me how much you think it is worth.

regards,

bonsaimeister

I would think new, depending on that mark, it could be well over$100. IT looks to be weel-fired without waves, blemishes, etc. from the pic. My guess of course is that it is Tokoname ware.

Like I said perfect condition after scrubbing it and polishing. I paid $18 for it LOL it was so covered in dirt etc. that the seller probably didi'nt notice. The prices in my area are VERY low, because there is not alot of demand for bonsai and related items. Every one in my club is very old, and have ceased to by things entirely. The older people only work with "instant mame". Anyhow, I have gotten many good deals on the 'used' pots. I would rather pay 1/3 the origanal price, spend 20 cleaning it, and have an almost perfect pot.

regards,
bonsaimeister

The stamp says "Fuji" (in an uncommon combination, there may be other readings). For the curious, it means "not two".

Myself, I think it is a beautiful pot.
