Mr. Scoopy!

Last month, a mischievous potter (a member of this forum, but he's away for the weekend, so can't defend himself) noted my enjoyment of the Pop Bonsai discussion .

Soo, he made me a pot! A freebie! In fact, I had to promise to get it away from his booth immediately!

So I decided to wait until I had a little something to show in it.

I'll bet you've never seen a land and water scoop pot before, let alone one with legs! It also has a belt on those jeans, but it's hard to see.

Anyway, here it is:

Frank Mihalic, of Wildwood Gardens volunteered just what was needed to complete the image.

A koi for the water section!

Bart, that looks 'interesting'

The avatar doesn't show it in its full glory, though. I took the liberty of resizing and compressing the image for use as your avatar, I hope you don't mind. This version is under 4k, every little helps

Regards,

Chris.

Bart,
Mr. Scoopy looks real brite!
( Since I stopped at "Ron Jon" surf boards in Cocoa Beach last week , I just happened to think how cool it would look on a small surfboard)
Now, Don't blame me if they bounce you out of your local show in a few days! :>)
Do you have a close-up of the koi/water part?
Dale

That will have to wait until after the show tomorrow.

One member, who posts to this forum has already told me that, although he wasn't planning to come to the show, his curiosity is geting the best of him. Besides, it's gonna rain!

I don't see what all the excitement is about a chinese-made stand anyway

I'm just hoping that things don't get violent!

I keep having nightmares abouth those acres of smashed antique penjing pots, thanks to the cultural revolution.

Mr. Scoopy goes to the Show!

So, We had our club show today, and the members got to meet Mr. Scoopy, all tricked out on his new Chinese-made stand...

Fortunately they were all good sports. Remarks were along the line of "cute" "fun" and "cool". Hey! I can live with that.

I'd have been embarrassed had he won a prize, after a whole 2 months in training, but that problem didn't arise.

Many thanks to Dale for setting this whole thing in motion.
