I hope that you are being sarcastic--I think that they are beautiful. I have been quietly following your work, and have become a great fan. I own two of your pots already: one small scoop (DC 2006) and a nice shallow round, very dark green, pot (visit to Hampton, VA...yew demo).

Dale, Love the pots. Do you have any coming without the screws. I like them, but the texture of the pot with out the screws is awesome. I have a tree in mind.

Tom,
I have several carved pots without screws or buttons.....packed away in boxes.
I am always up for jobs.
For a commissioned pot I need INSIDE dimensions and depths. And, as I tell folks....DON'T GUESS, ....MEASURE.... if it is for an existing plant or to replace an existing pot.

Its for an existing tree. I will get the dimensions to you as soon as I can get into the back of the hoop house.

Dale,

The earthy aspect of your pots are great! I agree with an early comment that they have a medieval look.

I sometimes suffer from the 'dumb question' syndrome, but here goes. Are the screws metal? I would think that you'd have problems in the firing with different expansions. Alternatively, I would think that they would be difficult to carve individually. In one pic I can see where you've turned the pot, so you are not using a slip process.

B,
They are simply impressions.
I don't make slip-poured pots. I only use slip as a "glue".
Each pot is a one-off pot.

Hi Dale,

I wouldn't call them "simply impressions". You can because you know what you are doing!!! But, I do see what you mean though. I took a closer look at your pictures again and I can see the impressions better on the pots with the Phillips heads.

Wow! Again, your pots are gorgeous. Be proud! Thanks for sharing them with us.
