Here's a picture of my new Zelkova (just €25,-). Is the pot the right size ?

The pot is a little large, but it's a good shape and maybe the tree will grow into it somewhat. The two lower branches look unnecessary (the tree seems to think so too?!). For some reason this looks like an elm. Are you sure it's zelkova?

Regards,

Matt

I bought the pot, before the Zelkova I wasn't sure if it was to big, but for now i'll leave it in this one. I cut the the lower branches a bit. They need to grow for a year or maybe two.

Yep Japanese Zelkova is Zelkova serrata also commonly called "Japanese Greybark Elm; Ulmus anything is an elm. In this case Ulmus japonica comes up in horticopia as "Japanese Elm"

This tree walks and talks like elm. Was the label printed or hand written?
