yamadori pine, not sure what species

hey guys this is my first collection, i had to walk over half an hour to find it, it was on a farmers private property and i didnt ask permission i nearly got chased by a dozen cows but yeah overall i think this was a success, so if anyone has any information on what species it is and how to take care of a newly dug tree thats been in the wild its whole life would be appreciated.
the size of the tree is as follows

trunk dia- 2 inches
height- 5 inches
width- 6 inches

the only reason i have found thistree is cos i was on a run trying to get fit, i spotted it and wanted it so as i said i walked back after my run with a couple of tools and dug it up

Looks alot like a casuarina to me. Not a pine and not a conifer. Do a search and see if that is correct.

*edit* I just re-read your post and realise you wrote that you DIDNT have permision. This thread is probably going to be very long with you trying to defend yourself. Goodluck!

It is a Casuarina and i would say it has about zero percent chance of living and who told you that it is ok for you to steal somebody else'e property!

ok i got a heads up on this from some one, im not going to defend myself because i think stealing is wrong aswell, i will say it was on a farm that has thousands of acres and would of only been eaten by a cow. and other than that i dont need someone telling me off for pulling up a tree.
and one other thing why would it have zero percent chance of living?

This is a tough crowd here jamie. You told your story in trueness and that should be commended. I would like to have a dollar from everyone in this hobby that has done some 'helpy selfy' in their past or present including myself. I have a feeling I could retire off the earnings.
Enjoy your run..the cows..the open land and your new bonsai stock! Just don't get caught. LOL
ps. I have never heard of aggressive cows before...are you sure they were not coming to you for food?

lol thanks kong. appreciate that, and yeah all i did was tell the truth and to be quite honest i dont think the farmer would care, and i didn enjoy my run lol, but not the cows that try and chase me.
anyways thanks for the comment.
and to anyone that doesnt mind to much with what i did, any info on the species casuarina and helpful hints would be appreciated, and it might be a bit soon to start thinking about a style but any thoughts would be appreciated.
i wont be doing much with it till it strengthens and becomes strong by the way

Now, here is the other side of the coin. What you could do now is try and contact the owner. Tell him or her what your interests are. Show him an example. Not the one you ripped off but an example. Chances are there are more of them and he will be happy to help you find what you are looking for and maybe he will introduce you to his killer cows as well. Good luck!
