Paul -
I had a chance to work with Nick Lenz on this material this last week-end. The general concensus is to give it time to establish and be healthy before any major restyle or pot changes. (I am having a difficult time imagining a suitable pot for this tree.) We did a few minor branch trims and a bit of wiring. One possible styling is to jin the top in the future and make this a more geriatric tree. The photo does not show much difference from a few months ago but I expect it to change to golden fall color in the next few weeks. I wish that I had taken a photo that showed the flare of the roots a little better. I also like the foliage of spring larch best. -Candy |
