In the words of Dave Barry, "I am not making this up!"

Some stainless steel "bonsai trees" are cycling through on the eBay section of our homepage. Bid now and you could have one of these babies in your hot little hands for just $2- Or "Buy it now" for $5-

"9 inch stainless steel bonsai hand made with stainless steel wire it will look great in home or office (don't have a window in your cubical and love nature this is for you or it'll make a great conversation piece)"

Look out eBay here I come!

As the artist of these fine objects, I am deeply offended! Your comments and ridicule have impaired my artistic vision, and I can no longer create such masterpieces. I hope you are happy!

Travesty,

Gee if you were serious I'd have to think about my response. Let's see....uh.... yes I am happy and ..... you're welcome?

Single-handedly saving the world from other "great works of art",

John

P.S. Love ya, mean it.

I hope you did not really think I created such monsterpieces?

It is funny how much difference the correct punctuation makes.

No, but I thought it begged for further conversation.

Okay, I have to get back to work. I have to go arrest somebody, and no, I'm not kidding. Job security.

I linked to some bonsai wire sculpture last month that was interesting, and I thought artistic. This looks gimmicky (dare I say the "K" word?), and doesnt look like much effort was put into it.

The "artist" has absolutely no concept of nature, trees, or bonsai, in fact, I would venture that they have no experience in wire scupture either.

I can not think of one single use for this thing. It is a waste of time, resources, and energy.

However the real shame should go to anyone who actually purchases one. But as of this moment...no one was quite that foolish.

Starting bid: US $2.00
Ended: Apr-21-04 04:38:27 PDT
Start time: Apr-14-04 04:38:27 PDT
History: 0 bids
Price: US $5.00
