I don't know what it is, but for two bucks I would buy it. But I dont look for too much when buying stock. All I want is a healthy tree. Anything else can be worked on over the years.

Well, sorry because of the pic... but let's see taking off some branches... Oh, no!!! It's not looking fine... mmm... I hope it improves with the wire... let's see

(Well, I bought it...) And it is a tree called "Granada" which brings big juicy fruits, and really colored, also, even the tree besides this one had fruits... Let's say it's really flexible, really easy to wire, and the bark is not britle... pretty fine tree, and the leaves, they are already small...

Ok, after wiring, I know it's not finished yet, but let's leave it like that for some time...

this is a Punica Granatum (Pics of Punica Granatum ) And well I just wanted to add that this has 3 trunks, but one is not distiguishable, because of the pic quality, I'll try another pic lately, and we will see if it becomes visible...

Ah... we call it Pomegranate! I should have recognized the leaves, but the name Granada threw me off!

Regards,

Matt

I think it will be a fine tree in 5 or 6 years. My suggestions weould be take of the wire except for maybe the new apex... Then I would let it thicken up for 3 to 4 of the 5 to 6 years.., for 2 dollars it is a very fine tree...

Hehehe... As I read this are really common trees all over the world... So, first I thought it was a tropical tree, but I read it holds temps at even -15ºC. That would be too cold for a tropical tree... well, about the fruits, those are too big, because the one that was bearing fruit at the nursery had the branch all bowed... well, those wires are doing the same though... well here is the pic...
