Well Done Smash! What a true beauty you have on your hands.... if you lived in the states, I'd be making one of those offers you can't refuse...
I love it that much.So glad it bloomed so perfectly for you, and that you showed it to us. Kindest regards, Victrinia |

Very very nice. It's seems to have flowered early in the season - is there an explaination for that?
Mine is still looking miserable outside in the rain...as is my neighbours which is growing up his house.

That stick in the picture is the wisteria when i dug it out of the ground in 1990. It died right back to ground level where some shoots formed. I let three of them grow which are the sub trunks you see now.
I repotted it in october last year so i kept it in the greenhouse to protect it from freezing. This also brought it on early. Its not such a great idea as the weather is very unpredictable at this time of year. We're still getting frosts and hailstorms so the tree is starting to look a bit beaten up now! I am hoping that a benefit will be getting a march on the growing season and thickening it out that much more. I want it to grow at least half as high again yet. As this is a double thread (my fault) it may be better to continue any further posts on the other thread and discontinue this one. Thanks for the compliments Last edited by smashyd : 15-Apr-2008 at 05:28 AM. |
